Dominica Private Investigator (Staging) – Privin Consulting Network

Dominica Investigators

Dominica Private Investigator

Privin Network provides private investigation services in Dominica, connecting clients with our investigators and local partners, experienced in surveillance, background checks, infidelity investigations, corporate due diligence, and locating missing persons. Private investigation is not a licensed profession in Dominica; the business operates under ordinary commercial registration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), and every case is scoped with Dominican law in mind from the outset.

Our investigators and local partners cover Roseau, Dominica’s capital and the island’s main commercial and financial center, home to the National Bank of Dominica and most government ministries, well suited to corporate and financial due diligence; Portsmouth, the island’s second-largest town on Prince Rupert Bay, a cruise ship port of call and one of the Caribbean’s most popular yacht anchorages, where much of the work involves cases tied to visiting vessel owners and the marine tourism trade; and Berekua, also known as Grand Bay, the largest settlement on the island’s southern coast and often called Dominica’s cultural capital, where much of the caseload is personal and family cases tied to its close-knit farming and fishing community. Wherever your case is based, our investigators and local partners know the area.

Dominica Background Check Service

Background checks in Dominica are one of the most sought-after services, particularly ahead of employment, tenancy, and partnership decisions. The core government record is the Certificate of Character, a police clearance issued by the Criminal Investigations Department at Police Headquarters in Roseau; applicants must have lived in Dominica for at least six months, and the certificate is requested by the individual themselves rather than ordered unilaterally by a third party. Our investigators and local partners build on that foundation with employment, residential, associate, and open-source social media history, so clients are not caught unaware by fabricated credentials.

Investigator Services In Dominica

Hiring an investigator in Dominica does not involve a licensing exam or a dedicated regulator. There is no primary legislation covering the private investigation or private security industry in Dominica; the business operates under ordinary commercial registration with the Companies and Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), the Inland Revenue Division, and the Dominica Social Security.

Dominica has not enacted a data protection law. A regional model law was drafted by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States for its member states, including Dominica, but it has not been adopted locally; privacy protection instead rests on the general right to privacy of the home set out in Dominica’s Constitution.

Dominica does not have a dedicated recording-consent statute. The closest existing law is Section 15 of the Telecommunications Act 1995 (Act No. 18 of 1995), which makes it an offense to intercept a telecommunication not intended for the general public, or to disclose its contents to anyone other than the intended recipient, without prior written authority from the Minister granted pursuant to a court order; the penalty is a fine of EC$5,000 and up to six months imprisonment. A broader Interception of Communications Act was proposed for Dominica and several other Eastern Caribbean states, but it is not confirmed to have been enacted, so the 1995 Telecommunications Act remains the current, verifiable law on the subject.

Below is a list of our most commonly requested services, but we are also able to handle more niche situations. Schedule a consultation with one of our agents today to get started on your personal action plan.
