Our success is based on your success, and here are some of the many professional services our local private detectives in Bahrain can provide:
Personal Investigations:
Not everyone is always who they say they are. Whether it’s an individual or a corporation, determine who they are and why they’re there. Manama is Bahrain’s capital and its financial center, home to the Central Bank of Bahrain and a large regional banking sector, so many Manama cases involve corporate due diligence and business-partner verification rather than purely personal matters.
Background Checks:
Identify and confirm pertinent information about an individual for an important decision. In Bahrain, background checks typically draw on two separate systems: a Police Clearance Certificate issued by the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, which confirms an individual’s criminal record, and the Sijilat commercial registry run by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which confirms a company’s registration status and ownership.
Surveillance
An organization or individual may find that they need surveillance help due to suspicious behavior or due to a situation or event that may have occurred.
International Investigations:
If you have a business relationship or are contemplating a new business venture in a particular country, it’s not uncommon to need the services of a private investigator to verify good information about an individual or corporation. Al Muharraq sits next to Bahrain International Airport and is connected to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway, making it a common starting point for cross-border business and travel-related investigations.
Locate Investigations:
With our investigative skills, we can help you gain addresses and phone numbers for locating individuals. Ar Rifa is one of Bahrain’s largest cities by population and the traditional seat of the royal family, so locate and personal-case work here often centers on residential, family, and relationship matters.
Cybercrimes and Digital Forensics:
Equipped with the right technology and a highly skilled staff of professional investigative specialists, we can assist you in identifying a suspect, the purpose of an attack, and how it occurred. Bahrain’s Information Technology Crimes Law (Legislative Decree No. 60 of 2014) criminalizes unauthorized system access, data interference, and illegal interception, with penalties ranging up to BHD 300,000 and 10 years’ imprisonment for the most serious offenses.
Infidelity / Adultery Marital Investigations:
A marriage or relationship brings with it the expectations of monogamy, but many find themselves in situations where this expectation is not being met by one or both of the individuals involved.
Our trained and experienced Bahrain private investigators, staff, and management all have police and/or military background, Furthermore, they are well versed in local customs, culture, and society.
Background checks are one of the most sought-after services, as they are an important step in vetting individuals that are being considered for business and personal opportunities. In Bahrain, our background checks draw on real, distinct national systems rather than a single generic database. The Information & eGovernment Authority maintains the Central Population Register (CPR), the national identity system used to verify residents and citizens. The Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science issues Police Clearance Certificates confirming an individual’s criminal record. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s Sijilat platform is the official commercial registry used to verify a company’s registration, ownership, and standing. Don’t get taken unaware by fraud, especially in today’s world where it’s easier than ever to fabricate realistic credentials.
Hiring an investigator can be a stressful time, especially if your need arises from an unseen circumstance. When life brings uncertainty, Privin is able to help. Private investigation is not a separately licensed profession in Bahrain the way it is in many U.S. states. Legality instead comes from ordinary commercial registration through Sijilat, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s business licensing platform. With years of experience and a globe-spanning network of industry professionals, we look forward to hearing your needs, tailoring your case to meet those demands, and helping you move forward with confidence that someone is working on your behalf.
Below is a list of our most commonly requested services, but we are also able to handle more niche situations. Schedule a consultation with one of our agents today to get started on your personal action plan.

Yes. Bahrain does not license private investigators as a distinct regulated profession; a firm operates lawfully through ordinary commercial registration via Sijilat, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s licensing platform. Individual activities carried out during an investigation, such as recording conversations or handling personal data, are separately governed by Bahrain’s privacy and cybercrime laws regardless of a firm’s registration status.
Bahrain is an all-party consent jurisdiction. Recording a conversation without the knowledge and agreement of every participant can be a criminal offense under Article 4 of the Information Technology Crimes Law (Legislative Decree No. 60 of 2014), which addresses interception and eavesdropping, and under Articles 370 and 372 of the Penal Code (Decree-Law No. 15 of 1976, as amended in 2025), which address secret recording and unlawful disclosure of communications. Penalties can include fines and imprisonment, and can apply under more than one statute for a single act.
Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018) is enforced by the Personal Data Protection Authority. Article 24 requires that consent to process personal data be written, explicit, clear, and specific to the processing activity. A recorded voice or a collected personal record qualifies as personal data under the law, so processing it without proper consent can expose an investigator to liability separate from any criminal recording offense.
Bahrain family matters are governed by the Family Law (Law No. 19 of 2017), applied through separate Sunni and Jaafari court divisions with different custody rules for each. Under Sunni jurisprudence, a mother’s custody generally ends when a son turns fifteen or a daughter marries; under Jaafari jurisprudence, custody generally transfers to the father once a child turns seven. Published Bahraini family law does not treat infidelity as an automatic, standalone ground for stripping a parent of custody; courts weigh evidence of harm or fitness on a case-by-case basis within these frameworks.
Three distinct real systems are commonly used: the Central Population Register (CPR), Bahrain’s national identity system managed by the Information & eGovernment Authority; the Police Clearance Certificate, issued by the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science to confirm an individual’s criminal record; and Sijilat, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s commercial registry used to verify a company’s registration and standing.
